Relaxing muscles that create jaw or facial pain, tension or headaches. Remember, I’m a TMJ massage expert!
This can be a great maintenance session once we have done the larger TMJ or muscular headache work

Other prep & TMJ questions you might have
Please come with makeup free skin (we can work around mascara). Be freshly shaven, this is not a treatment for those with facial hair.
For muscular relief and lymphatic help you should feel the improvement in one session but I’d recommend regular maintenance. In my treatments I combine the power of Celluma + the hands on manual work. My current recommendations for improving fine lines, contouring the face, addressing smile lines and lifting the jowls is once a week for 4 to 6 weeks then maintenance visits of 1 to 2 times a month. To speed your process, I am considering renting out my second Celluma device for at home use. If you’d like updates on that please let me know.
I will be working on muscles of the neck, scalp and face and use some oil for this session. You might want to bring a hat if you are self-conscious running errands with bed head.
For my TMJ treatment clients, know that this session is more esthetic in nature. We are working the masseter muscles and all of the muscles that makes facial expressions. This will address a lot of facial tension and lift the mood but not feel like a structural TMJ session. In your session we’ll have the 30 minutes of Celluma light therapy running on the pain relieving mode.

The science behind Celluma LED light therapy
Light therapy works by emitting particles of light (photons) at specific wavelengths like red and near infrared light. See image below for the options my machine can emit.
In our cells, light energy is absorbed by photoacceptors in the mitochondria. (link about mitochondria & Celluma)
The resulting elevation of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), or cellular energy, is used to power metabolic processes to repair or regenerate cell components and foster mitosis, cell proliferation, and restore homeostasis.
